Learning How to Rock with Shauna Wilson

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Director of Communications to Visit Erie

In the past year alone, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has had a total economic impact of $199 million in the city of Cleveland. Clearly, the power of rock & roll is real, and Shauna Wilson knows this as well as anyone.

As the Director of Communications of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, she works to promote the genre and its ability to engage, teach and inspire.

Wilson will share her experiences managing the Rock Hall’s brand and image and also offer several best practices when she visits Erie this month for a special luncheon presentation.

Her presentation, “Learning How to Rock,” will be held Tuesday, July 24, at the Erie Club, 524 Peach St. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with her talk to follow at noon. The event is sponsored by the Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Since joining the Rock Hall in 2015, Wilson has worked to build its brand, diversify revenue streams, sellout events and attract customers and fans. Most recently, she co-produced the first-ever red carpet live stream at the 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Prior to joining the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Wilson worked as the publicist for the Philadelphia Flyers and in corporate communications for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Cost to attend the presentation, which includes lunch, is $25 for PRSA members or students and $35 for non-members. Attendees can register for the presentation by filling out this form.

The Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is a professional organization that brings together public relations, communications and marketing practitioners throughout Erie, PA.
